Yay for Friday
Some randomness:
This has been a long week. Yesterday was boring. Today will be worse.
Turns out that my pregnant taste buds aren’t quite ready for the sweetness of the Pumpkin Spice latte. Sad, I am. Although my wallet is rejoicing at the money that will be saved this fall. I might try again when the Christmas lattes make their appearance. Eggnog latte, yum.
My cankles have gone down some after a night of sleep with my feet elevated on a pillow under the covers. However, they’re still a bit swollen. I’m watching my sodium and drinking copious amounts of water - by my count about 2 liters daily, which is about 2 liters more than I drank pre-pregnancy.
We got a call from the realtor who manages the townhouse we rent. There were a few things the HOA inspector noticed that need doing when they did their walk through the neighborhood this week. Easy stuff that the management company needs to do mostly. And he asked if we wanted a month-to-month or 12 month lease. I asked him if it was possible to get a 9 month lease, explaining about Beau’s job hunt and the possibility of moving next summer if he gets one of the jobs out of the area. He said no problem. That will save some penalty fees if that does happen. And I assured him that if Beau does end up getting a local job that we plan to stay in the house indefinitely. He liked hearing that.
This weekend our church starts a Saturday evening service to accommodate the gajillions of new people who have been coming on Sunday mornings. The past month of Sundays has been an adventure in the parking lot - there are a lot of people who’ve missed the first 25 minutes of the 11:00 service while trying to find a place to park. And pretty every seat has been full. So we’re excited about the new service, especially those of us who liked the Saturday service that we had when we were still in the old building. I’ll be at all three services this weekend since the choir is singing.
I think that covers everything - oh, don’t talk to me about Survivor or The Office. I plan to watch them tonight when I get home - I was at church until after 10pm last night and didn’t get to watch.
