We all went to see Granddad today. Jaynee and CootieGirl drove down last night from NJ. So after I finished donating blood at the lab for my physical next week, I picked up Beau from home and we met my mother, Jaynee, and CootieGirl at my parents’ house to caravan to the hospital.

We didn’t spend much time with Granddad - he seemed to tire easily, but he was in good spirits and happy to see us all. Beau and I had to wear masks because we both have our colds, but I was happy they let us in to see him. My Uncle Bill arrived while we were there, too.

It was a tough visit on one hand. On the other, I’m so glad we all went. He was happy to see CootieGirl, who being not quite 3, isn’t allowed in the ICU. However, a nurse opened an exit door that led to his window and she peered in at him from outside, blowing him kisses to make him better. Very sweet.

We left Mom at the hospital and I was supposed to then meet up with Joanie and CH for wedding stuff, but my cold has moved into the full congestion phase and I’m zonked. So I’m headed to bed for a nap.
