The First Cold?
I think I’ve caught a cold - maybe at Mare-Bear’s wedding last weekend. (I haven’t forgotten to post about that, by the way - it was fabulous.) Anyway, I started to feel the symptoms yesterday afternoon and immediately started taking Vitamin C. I keep a bottle of it in my desk now. I also have some at home. I’m also keeping zinc lozenges handy, although it’s the very early stages and I don’t like the way they makes my mouth feel.
Better to deal with this now than later this month, right?
LATER: Just went upstairs to get some hot tea. I am feeling worse than earlier (not congested yet, just achy and tired with the scratchy throat and heavy head) but it’s more annoying than anything. Fortunately it’s a relatively stress-free week. Just busywork while we gear up for a huge audit in January. Anyway, I’ve got a nice large cup of Lady Grey tea so I’m going to down a couple more vitamin C and drink that.
