Let me say that I was expecting the ending to be a little more dramatic. I’m not unhappy with the winners. I was completely impressed with the reaction of the third place team - I really hoped they would win because they had a positive attitude throughout the whole race. They made a really boneheaded mistake that cost them a ton of time, if they had done what the other teams did to get out of Australia, the outcome may have been very different.

And I’m being vague for anyone who may not have seen it yet.

I will say that as the show was wrapping up, my phone rang. It was Kirby, celebrating the winners. Cracked me up…

Oh, and 1976 was awesome. I taped 1977 and will be watching that when I get home later. I set my VCR to tape 1970-1973 this afternoon. LW called out today, so there won’t be any viewing at lunch, and I’m leaving at noon anyway.
