***SPOILERS***

1. The weekend time change means that my body thinks it’s 10pm at 9pm, so it was a struggle to keep my eyes open during last night’s show. I know that I “rested my eyes” during most of the commercial breaks and I also know that that resting may have bled into the show itself. I missed some stuff. That this season is the boringest imaginable doesn’t help, although their trek from Panama into Costa Rica was a little more interesting than, say, Mississippi into Lousiana.

2. The Yield was so pointless since the Weavers came in last place to the Roadblock anyway. That all teams were plotting to Yield the Weavers speaks to how petty they all are. The Weavers are not my favorite team, but I kind of admire how they’ve grown together as the Race has progressed.

3. The Paolos seem to be figuring out how to work together with less bickering. I was pleased to see how encouraging (in a less berating manner) the male Paolos were of Mom on the tasks - she did well and it was nice to see them compliment her at the Mat.

4. Roadblock - this was the first interesting Roadblock, imho. It kind of reminded me of the haystack fiasco that ended up bringing the Philimination of The Sisters in season 6(?).

5. Gaghans - sad to see them Philiminated. I liked how Dad thanked Carissa for working hard on the tasks. I’ll say it again, it’s impressive that these two kids never complained. They cried with the disappointment of being Philiminated, but quietly and with a lot more dignity than some adult Racers have displayed. In an All Star version of the Race, I’d love to see the competition between the Gaghan kids versus Flo. They’d totally kick her whiny butt. Can you imagine that? Heh.
