Silent Sunday

Not much to say today, which seems to be true of most of the blogosphere.

Church was good. Our worship team seems to have gotten into a groove lately. What’s interesting is that our A-Team drummer and bass player have been out so a couple of our teenagers have been playing and I think they’re almost better. Plus they’re just fun to have hanging with us. We did another new song today, which seemed to be well received.

Our practice this morning went so well that we had about 30 minutes before the first service started, so we did a quick run to Starbucks for coffee. While we waited for the baristas to make our lattes we were chatting and ended up talking politics. Fortunately we were all on the same page, so it was quite agreeable, although I noticed some sketchy glances from a few of the other patrons. Anyway, at one point our pastor’s eldest chimed in with his assessment of Senator Kerry. It wasn’t very flattering (it was something like “he’s a retard” - ok, it wasn’t something like that, it was that) but it made me burst out laughing in surprise. Have I mentioned that I like having them hang around?

After church, my parents and I went for our usual Sunday lunch, which was fun. We spent a long time just catching up with each other at the restaurant. When I got home I downloaded the update to Thunderbird (I downloaded the update to Firefox yesterday) and spent a little time looking at and installing some new extensions. Then I watched Windtalkers, which was OK, but not noteworthy enough to merit a review post of it’s own.

And now here I am, sitting at the computer...blog reading shall commence now.
