Please pray for Tony - his dad died yesterday and he has some other concerns.

The good news is he’s back to blogging, sort of.

I meant to post this earlier this morning, but a friend from church (her name is Julie) had major surgery this morning to have her pelvis reconstructed. Via an email update, her surgery went well and the doctor didn’t see anything he didn’t expect to see.

She will be out of commission for about 10 weeks, depending on how well she recovers. She won’t be able to do much in that time - she’ll be bed-ridden for most of that time. She will have a catheter from her abdomen for most of that time as well.

To add to the chaos for her husband and 3 children (at home, she has one away at college), they will have her and her husband’s families at their home for Thanksgiving.

If you think about it, will you please add her to your prayer list for the next few weeks? I’ll try to remember to update on her progress. Thanks a ton!

I stopped at the mall after work last night - to kill time before I needed to be at church for practice. I went into the Christian bookstore where I used to work and I didn’t recognize any of the employees and I didn’t see my former manager. The last time I was in there (maybe about 4 months ago) she told me she was pregnant with her first baby. I was hoping to see her because I knew she would be close to her due date and that she might not return after she gave birth.

Turns out that’s true, but not for happy reasons. I asked one of the gals if H still worked there and she said that she was out on maternity leave.

“Oh! What did she have?”

“She went into labor two months early and the baby died a couple of days later. We’re not sure if she’s going to be coming back,” I was told.

I don’t know when that was, but I think she told me she was due around Thanksgiving - sometime in November for sure, so I’m thinking it was pretty recently. Please be praying for her and her husband (he’s not a Christian). I’m going to try to talk to the assistant manager who moved to another store, she might have more information.
