Our air conditioning crapped out yesterday. The thing is we noticed a problem with the fan during the winter - it would cycle on and regardless what the thermostat was set to it would continue blowing. So Beau banged on something in the basement and the fan stopped. And then we had no problems. Until yesterday when he noticed the same thing, did the same banging, and the fan stopped. Only it never came back on as it got warmer in the house and he couldn’t get it to come back on.

One call to our landlord got quick results (we love our landlord) - the AC repair guy couldn’t come yesterday, but he called last night to say he’d be here by noon today. Good thing since it’s supposed to be about 84 and rainy today.

It was stuffy in the house last night even after having windows open until we went to bed. I insisted that the main floor windows and the window in Jesse’s room be closed/locked overnight, but the windows in our room remained open. Poor Jesse’s room was overly warm when I checked on him before we went to bed, so I left his door open overnight - this morning it was nicely cooled.

I’m hoping it’s a simple repair and that it’s done quickly. Because if there’s one thing I really can’t stand, it’s being too warm.

[UPDATE]: The AC dude came early! And fixed the more immediate problem saying on his way out that he will contact our landlord about getting the AC serviced. He thinks the fan runs so long at a time because it’s low on coolant. So the AC is on and things are nicely cool again. Woo!
