I saw this on Etsy and thought it might spark discussion.

  1. No contest, Pearl Jam.

Not sure I have a convincing reason for that though, just basic gut reaction. Perhaps it’s because Eddie can actually, you know, sing. Which is something Kurt never managed.

  2. NIRVANA!

Though, Pearl Jam was AWESOME (and, their newest album is incredible, fyi)

  3. Hmmm, only two votes so far? Somehow I expected more.

I lean to Nirvana, but agree that Eddie is a better singer than was Kurt.

  4. Sirius Radio’s grunge station had me in heaven a few days ago:

    6 songs in a row:
    2 - Pearl Jam
    2 - Nirvana
    2 - Stone Temple Pilots

All was good for roughly 15 minutes :)

  5. I’d vote, but honestly?  I couldn’t tell you what either one sounds like.  I lived in a cave in the 90s.

  6. PJ.

They defined my college years (up to becoming a Christian anyway).

Nirvana was the opening act in the soundtrack of my life over that same time frame. Whenever either comes up on iTunes, I’ll always listen to PJ, and try to convince my son this was a definitive sound, but often hit “next” when it comes to Nirvana.

  7. Stone Temple Pilots beats both, Nirvana comes in second.

I’m a Boomer, so my vote probably doesn’t count grin
