What I Won’t Miss

Besides having to clean up the crate several mornings a week, the one thing I will not miss about Annie when she goes on “extended vacation” to ECD’s house is her terrible doggy breath.

She’s laid out on the floor next to me and the foul aroma is wafting up to my nose.

Totally gross.

  1. “extended vacation?”

Smokey is sitting beside me as we speak, huffing foul smelling dog breath directly into my face. wink

  2. Seriously, I’ve never smelled dog breath on this level of rankitude. I can smell it when she’s half a room away. It’s dreadful.

    *gack*

  3. Oh, and the extended vacation is for the rest of her life. She’s going to live with them where they will lavish much attention and love on her. More than we’ve been able to do in the past 10.5 months.

  4. Have you ever tried giving her those Greenies?  They make them in chip form (for rabbits) so you don’t have to worry about choking/blockage, but they do help the bad breath problem.  Our dogs also improved after having several rotten teeth removed but that can be expensive and with her age, probably ill advised.  But still, the heavy panting only seems to get worse with age and the bad breath continues over here as well.

I’m glad ECD is willing to take Annie and love on her.  Do you still have Mr. Kitty?

  5. I tried the Greenies years ago and ended up with stained carpet. We give her Breath Busters, which do help. We had run out so Beau just bought a new bag.

We have Mr. Kitty. Beau has a love-hate relationship with the cat. Kitty loves Beau. Beau hates Kitty. lol

Actually, Kitty is great with Jesse - very tolerant of the hair pulling, which is good. He’s taught Jesse to headbutt - he headbutts us and it’s cute, cute, cute.
