I’m busy at work since it’s the end of the month. However, I have a few random things rolling around my head that I thought I’d share.

1. We’re having a pot luck tomorrow here at the office. I will post the recipes for my contributions if you’re interested: hash brown casserole, baked beans, corn pudding.

2. John Mark Karr vs DA Lacy: I was an early skeptic that this whacko’s assertion that he killed JonBenet Ramsey was true. However, it seems to me the Boulder DA’s office did the exact right thing regarding this sick nutjob. I was amazed last night that almost immediately she and her team were being villified for making the arrest in the first place. From the little I got from their presser today, it seems that they had no choice but to arrest him.

3. Baja Fresh rulz.

4. Paul at Wizbang! (a New Orleans native) puts forth a very plausible explanation of how the levees broke before Katrina’s fury hit in full force. Why isn’t this news getting more play?

5. I have the best husband a gal could ask for. I love you, Beau. :smooch:

2. Today it was the steak quesadillas with a side of extra chips/guacamole. I ate the chips/guac a little while ago for my snack. I still have half of the quesadilla for later.

3. Sounds delish!!  When I was pg, I totally enjoyed my food even during the throwing up stage.  Interesting how that works…

5. Not to burst your bubble or anything, but I once heard that Baja Fresh was the worst food to eat if you’re on a diet (I love Baja Fresh too).  I never confirmed that until now, since you gave us the link…how does 1,430 calories and 2600 mg of sodium sound for your steak quesadilla?!  That’s worse than McDonalds, I think!

   My favorite is the tortilla soup and the Tortas, which I think they only serve in the LA area.

7. As to number four on your list, that’s because the hurricane was all GW’s fault. We all know that. LOL

   No one says GW or his administration built the levees too weak, what we argue is that they saw this coming and did NOTHING about it when they should have. That’s all the media is reporting. And they got it right. It’s not a black-white thing, hurricanes know no color, but GW?...

9. D, it was not GW’s responsibility to make sure the levees were in good condition…Uh, I think New Orleans is in Louisiana, right? New Orleans, not GW should have seen this coming a long time ago.  Captcha is “action.”

10. Just making sure, this is still the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, and we still have a PRESIDENT in charge of the whole union, right?

    Thanks, Lincoln. I could be very happy living in the north right now with a real president and the south could have their own president Georgie if we didn’t have to be united as one. Now I’m living in the south, dealing with lots of stupididity and don’t get me started there. I might as well watch Nascar.

    I love my wife but until they make a reality show out of the life of George Bush she should lay low.
