Beau got a call from the chairman of the Poli-Sci department of one of the Arkansas colleges on Friday. He wanted to let Beau know that he’s on the search committee, got his resume package, and one of the reference letters; still needs the other two reference letters.

Beau sent follow-up emails to those two referrers and emailed the guy to let him know that he had followed up. He then got an email back asking for a phone appointment for today. Beau will have a phone interview of some sort this afternoon when he gets home from his school gig.

This is not our first choice, except that this is the only Christian college and Beau is especially interested in being at a Christian campus that’s a little more supportive of his conservative and Biblical views of politics. So I’m praying it goes well for him. And I told him that if this is the place he feels God is leading us to then we’ll move to Arkansas.

But in my heart, I’m still hoping the South Carolina college ends up being his top choice/option.
