Movies: The Brave One and Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing and Charm School
Managed to see two movies on TV in the past day - one on DVD, the other on cable.
The Brave One: Jodie Foster is a woman who seeks revenge and clarity after a brutal beating in Central Park. The acting is excellent in the movie and it’s well made, but when it was over my feeling about it was that I didn’t like it. From the user review I saw on the IMDb.com site, I’m not alone in my opinion. 2 stars out of 5.
Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing and Charm School: After tending to Annie at 4:30am, I stumbled upon this little gem on one of the premium cable movie channels.
A widowed man’s life turns upside down when he embarks on a journey to find a dying man’s long lost love.
There’s a good cast in this film, including Marisa Tomei, Mary Steenburgen, Donnie Wahlberg, and John Goodman. It’s a sweet, funny movie that starts a bit slow, but gets you hooked by the end. 3 stars out of 5.
