Movies: Failure to Launch

While Beau was at church parking cars, I managed to watch Failure to Launch on cable.

It was much better than I expected - very cute. Although there was one incredibly disturbing scene with Terry Bradshaw (those who have seen it know exactly what I’m talking about). I’m not a huge fan of Sarah Jessica Parker, but she was less annoying to me than usual.

3 stars out of 5.

  1. I had the SAME thoughts as you. I think I only watched it to see Kathy Bates, but it was cute. And yeah, Terry Bradshaw looked about like I would have imagined, only now I don’t have to imagine :-(

  2. Kathy Bates was good, as usual. The scene with her and Tripp towards the end was very sweet and touching. I often think she’s overrated, but then she’ll have those kinds of moments in a movie that make me remember just how good an actress she is.
