Our pastor is starting a new sermons series this week called Soundtrack. Sounds cool, I’ll be interested to hear how he uses the songs identified in light of Scripture.

The bonus? After the Saturday night services we’ll have karaoke in The Great Room (our hang out/coffee shop area - this is where our wedding reception took place for those who attended the wedding). So I was wondering what kind of playlist would be available for the singers performers since the email that went out said something about 1000 songs. One of our small group members works part time at the church and she typed out the whole list today and gave us a sneak peek via email.

This is going to be awesome - the songs run the gamut from Disney to Def Leppard.

Speaking of Def Leppard ... she sent a follow up email saying that some songs might be cut from the list, including “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” which make my laugh hard. I love that song! And then another of our group emailed back that he was surprised to see “Baby Got Back” on the list. I’ll be curious to see just how many songs get axed between now and Saturday.

Stay tuned, because you know I’ll post all about it on Sunday or Monday. And no, I have no plans to sing. I have a weird fascination/aversion to karoake - I have issues with practicing in front of people and karoake has that feel to me.
