We managed to take a bunch of pictures of Jesse today. Here’s the best of the bunch.

Beau was telling me that he’s got this way of burping Jesse that works better than the traditional method. I was skeptical until Jesse let out a healthy burp almost immediately. Whatever works, I guess.

Also, we rescheduled his weight check appointment from tomorrow morning to this afternoon because of the pending snow/ice event overnight. Paranoid new parent drivers that we are, we didn’t want to miss the appointment or have to brave the roads if they are icy tomorrow. So…the little guy gained 5 ounces in the past week, which pleased everyone. He’s now at 7 lbs, 1 oz. Next appointment is Feb 15. Also, the doc said that we don’t need to worry about feeding as often overnight now - let him sleep. This is good for Mama and Daddy since he slept for 5 hours last night. We’re hoping that’s the new trend.

7. From the top, #4—I call this the Cabbage Patch expression.  I didn’t even know it existed until the doll came out, and then I started seeing it.  Jesse is absolutely adorable.
