Dog Update

Last incidence of poop in the crate was Monday morning. Since the reduction of bedding to the single towel we’ve had no other poopings. There’s still peeing, but that’s easy to clean up. I’m going to add a towel tonight - I’m hoping the addition of the second towel doesn’t throw her completely for a loop and result in the resumption of crate poopage.

I fear for her safety if Beau has to deal with crate poopage while I’m away this weekend.*

* He wouldn’t hurt her. But do I fear for his sanity.

  1. I am sure, knowing who you are and who you are related too, you have read up on all the info. on crating a dog.  But, I have to be me, so I will suggest a smaller crate and or more frequient trips outside.  Not sure when the dog is making his/her mess in the crate but we had to get up with Saffron at 2AM and 6AM… every 4 hrs until she was like 4mths.  She stayed in her crate during the day and at night for the first year.  After 6mnth mark she could go all day without an accident.

  3. Heh.

I was going to remind you that Annie is 19 years old.

We’ve been poop free for a full week now - I think the problem is resolved.

    *whew*
