Annie: Before & After
The ladies at the groomer’s loved her, as is usually the case. The one who groomed Annie said she was adorable and asked us to bring her in to her again. She said that many people stopped to admire Annie through the window as she was being shaved.
When we picked her up, she was perky and raring to go. I was worried that she would be embarrassed, but she pranced through the store like normal.
What’s nice is the confirmation that she is not fat. For years I had insisted that Annie is not fat, just a big furry fluff ball. This shave proves me right.
It’s like having a new dog. She’s way too cute. And we suspect that the white on her haunches is really grey because of her age.
Aw. She’s precious! Hope this helps with the panting. I wasn’t going to say this (but since I just checked and he says it’s ok), we run our hepa filter for white noise because I have trouble falling asleep because Tim breathes too loud. So I can totally relate with Beau! :) And shutting him out of the room wasn’t really an option. ;)
Posted by beth on 04/22/06 at 08:22 PMShe is very cute, especially after the cut, but that is one fat dog. LOL
Posted by on 04/22/06 at 09:17 PMWe have Mitch the Wonder Dog shaved every four months. Which is probably best. After shaving him, you’d think he lost 30 pounds.
Posted by Tony Rosen on 04/22/06 at 10:43 PMbeth, She slept like a rock last night (that I’m aware) and didn’t wake me up until close to 6am. Nice.
Denis, she is so not fat! Granted she’s not as skinny as Cooper, but she is very trim.
Tony, I’m thinking we’ll get her shaved every spring now that I know she’s so adorable this way.
Posted by on 04/23/06 at 06:14 AMJust think of all the vacuum bags you are going to save! That dog left hair all over the house. She looks so cute and trim! Now if you shaved the Mr. Kitty you wouldn’t have to worry about vacuuming at all.
Posted by on 04/23/06 at 09:05 AMAnnie looks AWESOME! She’s such a frickin’ TANK. *lol*
I’m planning on taking in Stinky and Mini to the vet and pay the $$ to have them knocked out and shaved so that we can eliminate part of the pet hair problem.
Posted by Jaynee on 04/23/06 at 06:45 PMShe’s so cute, hair or no. Glad she likes her new “do”. Really she’s in wonderful shape for a 17 year old!
Posted by on 04/24/06 at 07:16 AMWe are excited about the decrease in shedding. It’s not a bad idea to consider shaving Mr. Kitty, too.
Jaynee, your cats will be cute shaved and maybe happier?
She is like a new dog - she has so much more energy and is much perkier. It’s like she’s lost 20 pounds and 10 years.
Posted by on 04/24/06 at 08:07 AMStinky will definitely be happier. Her entire back is one big dred. It’s awful!
Posted by Jaynee on 04/24/06 at 09:17 AMAnnie is adorable, and she looks very comfy. My princess gets that cut every 8 weeks because of her allergies, and yeah, you will save on the vacuuming :)
Posted by caltechgirl on 04/24/06 at 01:28 PMAnnie is a very cute doggie. I saw a chow that was shaved for the summer, and it did not look nearly so adorable as normal.
Posted by Princess Jami on 04/24/06 at 02:52 PMYeah, some dogs should keep their hair.
Usually Annie looks like her terrier part. With no hair she’s much more beagle-y.
