Adopting Mr. Kitty

ECD asked me if I wanted to take Mr. Kitty to be ours. He loves Beau and Beau tolerates the cat as long as he stays off of the kitchen table and counters. Annie actually protected him from Sassy the other day and he headbutted her for her troubles. I like the cat because he’s an excellent mouser and sweetly affectionate.

So I had a discussion with my parents (since he’ll be at their house with their cat before Beau and I get married) and we have come to a workable solution to two cats, two litter boxes, and a dog that likes to dine from the litter box.

Next comes the trauma of moving Mr. Kitty to my parents’ basement and his adjustment to his new home and family. Here’s hoping Spanky welcomes him nicely. And I need to find out what kind of papers and vet history come with him.

  1. Great word for the day...not that I’ll actually get to use it in a sentence but, you never know! grin

  2. I know, there’s not much use for it in every day life. However, I love to throw that word around when I can. Today was the day!

  3. Eww.  My dog also likes kitty treats.  We broke down and bought a Litter Maid litter box (off EBay for way less than retail) and it actually works and cuts down on opportunity for said treats.  El dog-o will still occasionally luck out, but not very often anymore.  Makes me very much happier!!!
