A Trip to the Vet

Doggette‘s account of her trip to the vet is highly amusing.

And it reminds me that it’s time for Annie to make the annual visit herself. While there are some elements to Doggette’s experience that are similar to mine with Annie, it is not many. Except for the toenail thing. That is exactly Annie.

Annie hates the vet and it’s an ordeal from the minute we walk in to the minute we walk out. She pees and/or poops every time and she shivers like it’s 40 degrees below. And while it usually is a wee bit chilly at the vet’s, it’s never that chilly. The last time we were there she threw herself off of the elevator-scale-table thing and landed hard enough to cause her mouth to bleed.

And then the best part is when we get home when I get the silent treatment and the sulking glares. I am, apparently, a terrible dog mother. Pfft.

Note to self: make the vet appointment.

  2. Hmmm. It appears that I might have been Chick Tract comment spammed.

Mel, it so happens that I do believe and have been saved.

  3. Yup, Jaynee got spammed by that, too. Not sure of the value of it in terms of number of people who were saved by the spam, but it was curious.
