On the Leash

After much thought and a short discussion with Beau, I broke down to buy one of these for the Disney trip.

I’m a completely paranoid mother, so I’m taking no chances. My peace of mind is more important than our image or his psychological issues later in life.

Frankly, I couldn’t care less what other people will think when they see my kid on a harness. He’ll be 16 months old and he moves quickly. I’m keeping tabs on him. And I think he may like the security of it and the freedom of it.

  1. While I generally think you are off your rocker, it makes sense to have him harnessed at Disney.

However, if you begin using it at the mall, at church, at _________ [pick any public place], then you’ve officially gone over the edge.

  2. There are going to be six adults and three kids at Disney. I just think she’s off her rocker. LOL

  3. i think it’s fine.  We were at Disneyland this weekend and there were DOZENS of kids on various forms of a harness.  It’s a good alternative to being locked in the stroller 24/7 or being carried all the time.

At least you’re not getting the one with the monkey.....

    Heh.  The captcha is “problem”

  4. I actually was going to suggest one of those. I’ve seen how quick he is when he gets going.  As for Jaynee and Denis, I’ll reserve the right to laugh when they are chasing CB all over the place!!!

  5. Dad, exactly what I was thinking.

  6. I think you’ll also enjoy the freedom this will allow Jesse.  And at Disneyland, you will see lots of folks with these, as animalistic as they may at first appear, there’s a very real reason why they exist.  And having 6 adults there will not make it any easier to keep an eye on him...it will just allow everyone to shift the blame if he gets lost.  But now he won’t. wink
