Great episode last night. My few comments:

1. The dude who sang She’s Out of My Life and then claimed that the Paula/Randy DVD was where he learned his singing skillz was priceless. It was fun that Paula and Randy chuckled at that news and Simon’s delighted joy at that revelation was awesome. I was laughing hard.

2. Say what you want, Ryan Seacrest has a dry sense of humor and does a great job with these losers contestants. He is very good at deadpanning his reaction to some of these nutjobs - case in point being the stripper’s daughter in the weird lingerie outfit and the teenage Wayne Newton with the placard extolling his journey to AI.

3. My favorite of the night was Rhonetta, whom I affectionately call, Honetta. If you saw her, then you understand the nickname, right? Class act, that chick.

I’m looking forward to tonight’s edition - San Francisco.
