Fake Boyfriends™

What's with the Fake Boyfriend™ list? It all started with my friend, Katie, who one day while driving around with me in her car (which she calls Boba Fett but that's another story), casually mentioned that some male celebrity was one of her "fake boyfriends." As she explained it, the FB™ is any celebrity in music, TV, film, etc. that she finds attractive and would like to "date" - although no actual dating is involved, of course. This is purely fantasy - the real person is not whom she would like to date, but rather the persona. Because to be honest, a lot of these guys are punks or too politically leftist, or whatever. But they sure are good to look at or I find them particularly witty (which is attractive to me) and they make me smile just lookin' at 'em.

And so I quickly adopted the idea, which has spread to my sister, who has published her own rather lengthy list.

Without further ado, the following are my Fake Boyfriends™ (in no particular order):

Damian Lewis - from Band of Brothers and The Forsyte Saga
Donnie Wahlberg - currently in Boomtown, also from Band of Brothers
Mark Wahlberg
Ron Livingston - from Office Space and Band of Brothers
Tom Hanks
George Clooney
Michael Vartan
Hugh Jackman
Colin Firth
Colin Farrell
George W. Bush
Jeremy Piven
John Cusack - he will always be Lloyd Dobler to me (Say Anything)
Ben Affleck
Matthew McConaughey
Viggo Mortensen - as Aragorn
Rory Cochrane - currently seen in CSI: Miami
Vince Vaughn
Harrison Ford
Patrick Stewart - as Jean Luc Picard
Ollie North
Greg Kelly - Fox News reporter
Christopher Guest
Todd Connor - Fox News reporter

I'm sure more will be added.
