We’re tired today. The weekend was very good, but long. Beau was great to let me laze about on Saturday until I had to head over to the church for our practice and the two services. He and my parents came to the second service that evening. Jesse was in this adorable little outfit that Marmie gave to him. No pictures, for we are terrible parents who never take the camera anywhere.

Marmie and Pop were great to Jesse sit yesterday morning while Beau and I were at the church. All three services were well attended. He had set up the room the youth use for overflow and in the 11:00am service there were 140 people back there. Very cool. I was told we had 625 in the 9:15am service. Our pastor’s message was excellent, as always, and I’ll be interested to see how many of our visitors choose to continue attending and what kind of response we’ll see in future baptisms.

After church we went to my parents for Easter dinner. Uncle Bill was there as well as my Mom’s good friend Kathy and her husband Bryan. Jesse was on his best behavior and lay quietly in the pack-n-play while we ate our meal. We were getting ready to have dessert when he let us know that he had had enough of being alone.

When we got home at about 5pm, I fed Jesse and then he took a good nap while Beau and I chilled out. We were hoping to nap, too, but neither of us could doze off. We did manage to get to bed earlier than usual - Jesse went down at about 9:30pm for the night and we weren’t far behind him. That Jesse then didn’t wake up until a little before 5am tells me that he’s ready for an earlier bedtime, which is nice because we are, too.

Anyhoo, I now need to get to work. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
