Training/Meeting Morning
I have a combo training-meeting this morning. Actually, I have a full day ahead since I’ll be on the road to the Cooties’ house for their annual Christmas bash tomorrow.
But I have had a few conversations with ECD about sin, grace/guilt, and the Catholic church that have sparked some thoughts, so I’ll be back with that post later. I’m learning that my 25 years of walking in faith with Jesus Christ, while an advantage in the discipling of a new believer for the most part, is also a challenge. That I came to faith in Jesus at 12 means that I have a hard time relating to the 40 year old with a significantly different pre-Christ past. My lifelong single status is another challenge since she’s newly separated from a 15 year marriage. I covet your prayers for the days ahead because living in her house means a more intense living out of Proverbs 27:17.
OK, I’m being summoned - more later.

TAR6 TWoP Stuff
Catching up on my TAR6 Recaps @ TWoP. Miss Alli is snarky as ever and has named Adam El Hornio. Heh. Anyway, for your reading pleasure, Episode 1, Episode 2, and the recaplet for Episode 3.
I couldn’t help but notice the huge banner ad for TWoP Merchandise at Cafe Press, so I clicked over to take a look at what they’ve got. They have their Tubey icon duded out for specific shows, including Amazing Tubey, of course. Of the stuff I see there, I would put this on my car and drink from this. Oh, and of course, use this with my new computer.

Courtroom Brawl
I’ve heard stories about this kind of thing, but there haven’t been too many scuffles here lately. Not saying that there haven’t been any at all, but they haven’t happened in the open courtroom.A brief brawl erupted in a federal courtroom Tuesday, shortly after a judge imposed severe restrictions on 12 alleged white supremacists following a reported threat to federal prosecutors.
The scuffle began at the end of a hearing and involved 10 of the defendants and approximately 15 deputy U.S. marshals. It started when one defendant spit at a marshal carrying out U.S. Magistrate Samuel Alba’s order to get the particularly vocal man into his seat.
Almost instantly, violence broke out in the jury box, where the defendants and their attorneys were seated. As the other defendants jumped to their feet, the marshals quickly wrestled them to the ground, and the tussle lasted about two minutes until the federal agents got the men under control.
By the end, one defendant was in a choke-hold, another was pressed against the wall and the defendant who incited the brawl had a mask over his face and marshals were preparing to use a stun gun on him.
Read the whole article to learn more about the defendants. Not the kinds of guys you’d take home to Mom.
